Finale: Rise of the King

"You dare belittle us?" The king growled. "We are the King of All Cosmos! Our power is BEYOND YOUR COMPREHENSION!" With a bestial roar, the King sent out an explosion of energy, incinerating everything for miles around.

He turned towards the witch, floating unharmed behind a shield she had constructed. "YOU!" He raged. "You've humiliated us. You've stolen thousands of years from our reign of the cosmos. And you have killed our son." He raised his arms in her direction. "We will have our revenge. We will destroy you however many times it takes. YOU WILL NOT BE FORGIVEN!"

An enormous blast of energy shot towards Bernkastel. She smiled slightly, confident in the shell she had constructed to protect herself from the King's outburst. Seconds later, her expression fell as her shield shattered instantly and she was caught in the blast.

The King raised his arms above his head triumphantly. "We will destroy any barrier you set against us," he proclaimed. "In terms of raw power, you are weak!"

"I would hardly say weak," Bern chuckled, reappearing in the spot where she had been earlier. "Although... I have died in many ways before, but never before have I been disintegrated atom by atom." Conjuring a teapot, she poured herself a cup. "You intrigue me. I think I will make you my furniture."

Bernkastel snapped her fingers. Thousands of long spears appeared in the air surrounding the King. "Don't worry, King," she sneered. "It will only hurt for a while."

The spear hurled themselves towards the King at an incredible speed. Surrounded as he was, there was no way for him to dodge. There was no visible escape...

"Stop!" A voice said loudly.

The spears stopped, and Bernkastel whirled in anger, searching for the one who had interrupted her. A whirl of golden butterflies appeared on the burnt ground and within came Richard, restored and rejuvenated.

"This is my fight, witch," he said casually, gazing up at the form of the King. "I do not altogether appreciate your interference."

Bernkastel cackled. "What do you think you can do to make me leave? You're nothing compared to..." More butterflies surrounded her and she disappeared.

Richard looked pleased. "I learned a few tricks from a friend of yours, you see," he spoke to the empty air. "The Golden Witch sends her regards." He turned towards the King, who had been staring dumbfounded at the whole scene. "Now it's your turn, big guy. You're a bit too big for my liking though..." A storm of butterflies surrounded the King, dispersing after a few seconds. He was where he had stood previously but a thousand times smaller and fully rejuvenated. "Much better," Richard commented. "This magic sure is useful but the rules certainly suck."

"You shrank us?" The King asked incredulously. "Why? And why did you heal us too?"

Richard shrugged. "You're easier to damage now. And now I get to have the pleasure of destroying you all by myself." And out of nowhere, Richard began to sing.

Richard shot a bolt of fire at the King, which was deflected and returned in kind. The two continued circling each other and shooting rays of fire, frost, and in the King's case, throwing any and all of the objects he had collected throughout the years. All the while, Richard continued singing.

The King laughed. This was fun! Never before had he been able to fight a being such as this! However... "You amuse us, little creature. However, it is time for us to end this." The King narrowed his eyes and shot a beam akin to the one that had destroyed Bernkastel earlier. However, Richard dodged once again.

Once again, the King laughed. "Do you really think your power can at all compare to ours? We are the King of All Cosmos! Such an idea is madness."

Richard stopped singing.

"Madness?" He asked.

"THIS IS SOOBA!" He shouted.

The King stared blankly for a few seconds. "...we have no idea what you're talking abo-" A panther pounced onto the King from behind, knocking him over onto his face. At the same time Richard created shackles of fire, tying the King to the ground.

"Game, set," Richard said, lighting his hands aflame with a FWOOSH, "and match." Richard fired off the most powerful fireball he had ever casted at the King's head. With a satisfying sizzling sound, it melted right off.

Slowly, Richard approached the King and checked to make sure that he was, in fact, dead. After doing so, he straightened up. "Good boy, Sooba," he said gleefully. "That was certainly interesti-"

"PING!" A loud sound occurred. Richard looked around wildly for the source, then started laughing.

"I've been given the title 'King of All Cosmos'," he giggled. "Oh well. 'Lord of the Dance' suits me better." Laughing to himself, he set off across the land, looking for a village to decimate.
